Guarded by the clouds
Attacked by the sun
But in the night
Unseen by everyone
The moon protects it at night
But the sun will attack
The moon will be bright
Even if there's no holding back
When the sun comes up
The sky is pierced by the sun
But it only shows the skies
Beauty to everyone

Sojourner Truth
If you read the title you probably know this article is about Sojourner Truth. But who is Sojourner Truth. I shall tell you in this article. The first thing I will tell you is her background. Next I will tell you about her "Ain't I A Woman" speech. Last I will tell you about how she fought for black rights.
Now I will tell you about her background. She was born in 1790 in New York and born into slavery. She escaped and took the name Sojourner Truth she died 1883. One time I went to the black history museum and I learned about Sojourner Truth and her life. I would hate being born into slavery.
This is about her "Ain't I a woman" speech. This speech informs people that women deserve the same rights as men do. This is what she is known most for and this speech has made hundreds of women fight for there rights. I remember when I heard her speech from a women who wanted her name to go down in history. She deserves her rights.
Last I will tell you how she fought for black rights. For this fight she does not use a sword she uses words by making a speech. Sadly she died before women and black people were given rights but she gave people inspiration to fight for there rights. Once I heard the speech of Martin Luther King Jr. and he got his inspiration from Sojourner Truth. She inspired thousands of people.
She did much more than this and it took years after she died for men and women of all races to gain rights. Though she did all she could and that was enough for them to gain there rights.
